What do we want most in this life?

We want to have a sturdy house to live in
We want to be able to have all the food we need
We want the works of our hands to last
never to be forgotten
never to rot and fade away

We want to be with the people we love
We want never to hurt them
and never to be misunderstood
We want as much time with them as we possibly could
We want them never to be away
nor to say goodbye
never to grow old
never to be apart.

Now which of these longings could we fulfill
by our own hands?
Which of these could be granted us
in our short journey here on earth?

Only JESUS has the power
only heaven has the answer
to take away our anxieties and fears
and to wipe away our every tear.

When You Feel Like An Outcast

There are times when you feel like you’re an outcast.

You may feel you’re not wearing the right clothes,

you’re not speaking the way other people speak,

or people just don’t treat you

the way they treat other people, who are part of their crowd.

Times like that, remember that your worth

could never be measured

by the measure used by such people.

Times like that, remember who you really are-

someone who is cherished,

someone truly special,

someone so loved,

that none could ever take away your JOY.

And this is your joy-

that God loves you so much

He willingly gave His own life for you.
You are never an outcast,
you are set apart.
You are never an outsider,
you were chosen even before you were born.

You are God’s beloved child,

and none could snatch you away from His hand!

How to life your life.

If you live your life by strength
Then you’ll get weary
For your strength is yours
Not other’s around you

If you live your life in pride and glory
Then you’ll become a tyrant
On yourself and your folks

If you live your life in wealth
Then you’ll get disappointed
For all richness can never satisfy
man and time ….. perpetually

If you live your life in comparison and competition
Then you’ll react creatively
Producing rivalry noxious destructive things

But if you live your life in love
Then you’ll present in all the art of beauty
For love need no strenght, pride and glory
nor wealth, comparison and competition
to flow all virtuous life…
for and through your deed
as a heavenly gift..

Our Attitude Defines Life

Life is Best for those who want to Live it,
Life is Difficult for those who want to Analyze it,
Life is worst for those who want to Criticize it,
Our Attitude Defines Life ...

Enjoy Your Life,
Laugh so Hard That even Sorrow Smiles at You,
Live Life so Well That even Death Loves to see you Alive,
Fight so Hard That even Fate accepts its Defeat ...

Our Attitude Defines Life

Life is BEST for those who want to

GOD

God is a name
We use to identify You

As if to describe
A species set apart

But the essence of your being
Absolute purity in all your parts

What You are in all your Glory
Gentle, patient, peaceful, loving

Make You only in all creation
Worthy of worship and devotion

And so I fall before your brilliance
In adoration of your Being

And call You humbly from within me
What You are – in truth
My God

Lead me

Prune me

Use me

Take me

ONE

Hear Oh Israel
The Lord our God
The Lord is One

Holy One

Wonderful One

Almighty One

Glorious One

Hear Oh Lord my cry to Thee
out of the many that war within me

Make me One
with Thee

I hope

I hope that I will always be for each person
what he or she needs me to be.

I hope that each person's death will diminish me,
but that fear of my own will never diminish my joy of life.

I hope that my love for those whom I like will never lessen
my love for those whom I do not.

I hope that another person's love for me will never
be a measure of my love for him or her.

I hope that everybody will accept me as I am,
but that I never will.

I hope that I will always ask for forgiveness from others,
but will never need to be asked for my own . . .

I hope that I will always recognize my limitations,
but that I will construct none.

I hope that loving will always be my goal,
but that love will never be my idol.

I hope that everyone will always have hope.

Promise yourself

Promise yourself to be strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet

To make all your friends feel there is something in them

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true

To think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only for the best

To be as enthusiastic about the success of the others as you are about your own

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on the greater achievements of the future

To wear a cheerful countenance at all the times and give every living person you meet a smile

To spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others

To be too big for worry and too noble for anger, and too strong for fear

and too happy to permit the presence of trouble

Sunrise.........

Sunrise beautiful, sunrise bright,
Oh! What a beautiful, glorious sight.
In the morning when I arise,
I see the colourful sunrise.

Sunrise beautiful, sunrise bright.
I could dream of it every night.
I look to the East to see what God made,
What colours before me He has laid.

Sunrise beautiful, sunrise bright,
Thank God for this morning light.
I gaze up in awe,
At what I just saw.

Sunrise beautiful, sunrise bright,
Created by God with power and might.
Each sunrise is one of a kind,
It’s always on my mind.

Sunrise beautiful, sunrise bright,
Rising above the starry night.
Lighting up the sky,
As the day draws nigh.

Stop for a Moment

With human minds we emotionally bind ourselves to things we cannot see.
Hopelessly setting a course that will deprive us of the strings of peace that were given to you and me.

We often pass up rainbows, a spring shower, a sunset, or even just a smile.
Yet in the name of prosperity and growth we'll go the extra mile.

God gave us the ability to experience the delicate sides of this earth.
But often we don't allow ourselves to fully appreciate what it's worth.

Have you ever whistled with a songbird, been touched by a breeze, or smelt the seasons in the air?
Or did you just consider them daily problems and not ever really care?

Have you ever had a falling leaf placed gently at your feet?
Carried by a loving wind just for you to meet.

Did you let it say good morning friend, or kick it to the side?
Thinking that you're late for work or you'll never catch your ride.

During a crowded traffic jam have you ever looked up high?
To see how God directs the clouds as they go flying through the sky.

What was your thought today as you tumbled out of bed?
"Thank you Lord for this day" or "Man do I feel dead".

You see it's up to us to find these things as we're traveling down life's road.
Because God sends these gifts to cross our paths and relieve or heavy load.

Jewels from Heaven

I took a walk down a woodland trail,
without really expecting anything new.
A rustling in the leaves made me pause,
and wonder what was hidden from view.
I kneeled down and spotted a tiny, white flower,
so perfectly formed to bloom for just an hour.
Thank you, Lord, for showing it to me alone,
such a secret I would never have known.

God sends jewels from heaven,
when I stop long enough to see.
Rare and precious treasures,
to show how much He loves me.

Once, I ran to the edge of some trees,
with a heavy burden in my heart.
The scent of a warm, summer rain,
wafted by on a gentle breeze.
A brilliant, red cardinal came to call,
and sang a cheerful song just for me;
and to think, I could have missed it all.

God send jewels from heaven,
when I stop long enough to see.
Rare and precious treasures,
to show how much He loves me.

I stepped outside late one night,
for just a moment of peace and quiet.
The wind softly whispered to me.
The black, velvet sky held a crescent moon,
and a million silver stars gave their light.
I threw up my hands and praised you, Lord,
for this glimpse of beauty I might have ignored.

God send jewels from heaven,
when I stop long enough to see.
Rare and precious treasures,
to show how much He loves me.

Beggining Today

Beggining today I'll no longer worry about yesterday.
It is in the past and the past will never be changed.
Only I can change by choosing to do so.

Beggining today I'll no longer worry about tomorrow.
Tomorrow will always be there, waiting for me to make the most of it.
But I cannot make the most of tomorrow without first making the most of today.

Beggining today, I'll cherish every moment of my life.
I value this gift bestowed upon me in this world and I will unselfishly share this gift with others.
I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others.

Beggining today I'll face challenges with courage and determination.
I'll overcome what barriers there may be which hinder my quest for growth and self-improvement.

Beggining today discouragement will not be allowed to taint my positive self-image,
My desire to succeed or my capacity to love.

Beggining today I'll open my mind and my heart.
I'll welcome new experiences.
I'll meet new people.
I'll not expect perfection from myself nor anyone else:
Perfection does not exist in an imperfect world.
But I will applaud the attempt to overcome human foibles.

Beggining today I am responsible for my own happiness and I will do things that make me happy.

Beggining today I will learn something new
I will try something different

I will savor all the various flavors life has to offer.
I will change what I can and the rest I will let go.
I will strive to become the best me I can possibly be.

Slow Down, God is Still in Heaven

You are not responsible for doing
it all yourself, right now.
Remember a happy, peaceful time in your past.
Rest there. Each moment has richness
that takes a lifetime to savor.
Set your own pace.
When someone is pushing you,
it's OK to tell them they're pushing.

Take nothing for granted:
watch water flow, the corn grow,
the leaves blow, your neighbor mow.
Taste your food.
God gives it to delight as well as to nourish.
Notice the sun and the moon as they rise and set.
They are remarkable for their steady pattern
of movement, not their speed.

Quit planning how you're going to use
what you know, learn, or possess.
God's gifts just are;
be grateful and their purpose will be clear.
When you talk with someone,
don't think about what you'll say next.
Thoughts will spring up naturally if you let them.
Talk and play with children.
It will bring out the unhurried little person inside you.

Create a place in your home...
at your work...in your heart...
where you can go for quiet and recollection.
You deserve it.
Allow yourself time to be lazy and unproductive.
Rest isn't luxury; it's a necessity.
Listen to the wind blow.
It carries a message of yesterday, tomorrow
and now. NOW counts.

Rest on your laurels.
They bring comfort whatever their size,
age, or condition.
Talk slower. Talk less.
Don't talk. Communication isn't measured by words.
Give yourself permission to be late sometimes.
Life is for living, not scheduling.

Listen to the song of a bird; the complete song.
Music and nature are gifts,
but only if you are willing to receive them.
Take time just to think.
Action is good and necessary,
but it's fruitful only if we muse, ponder, and mull.
Make time for play - the things you like to do.
Whatever your age, your inner child needs re-creation.

Watch and listen to the night sky.
It speaks.
Listen to the words you speak, especially in prayer.
Learn to stand back and let others take their turn as leaders.
There will always be new opportunities
for you to step out in front again.

Divide big jobs into little jobs.
If God took six days to create the universe,
can you hope to do any better?
When you find yourself rushing & anxious, stop.
Ask yourself "WHY?"
you are rushing and anxious.
The reasons may improve your self-understanding.
Take time to read.
Thoughtful reading is enriching reading.

Direct your life with purposeful choices,
not with speed and efficiency.
The best musician is one who plays with expression and meaning, not the one who finishes first.
Take a day off alone; make a retreat.
You can learn from monks and hermits without becoming one.
Pet a furry friend.
You will give and get the gift of now.

Work with your hands.
It frees the mind.
Take time to wonder.
Without wonder, life is merely existence.
Sit in the dark.
It will teach you to see and hear, taste and smell.

Once in a while, turn down the lights,
the volume, the throttle, the invitations.
Less really can be more.
Let go. Nothing is usually the hardest thing to do
but often it is the best.
Take a walk-but don't go anywhere.
If you walk just to get somewhere,
you sacrifice the walking.

Always have a Dream

Forget about the days when its been cloudy,
but don’t forget your hours in the sun

Forget about the times you’ve been defeated
but don’t forget the victories you’ve won

Forget about mistakes that you can't change now
but don’t forget the lessons that you’ve learnt

Forget about misfortunes you encounter
but don’t forget the times your luck has turned

Forget about the days when you’ve been lonely
but don’t forget the friendly smiles you’ve seen

Forget about the plans that didn’t seem to work out right
but don’t forget to always have a dream

You and God

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you;
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating others could destroy overnight;
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

No Mountain Is Too High To Reach

We can attain the un-attainable.
No mountain can stand in our way,
if we don't let it overtake us.

No mountain is too high to climb.
We can reach the top in due time,
and simplicity,we will find.

We can also reach for the stars.
It may seem a little farther away,
but it can be attained, just the same.

Don't be mis-lead or taken astray.
Don't let someone cause you dismay,
and make you think, you cannot make it.

We can achieve climbing any mountain,
that we choose to climb,
even it is, the highest of peaks.

All we have to do is believe,
in ourselves,
and the top, we will reach.

Just set your sites, and reach up high.
Seek to find the biggest and best,
and you will conquer, and win the test.

Let God Guide You

You say: "It's impossible"
God says: All things are possible
(Luke 18:27)

You say: "I'm too tired"
God says: I will give you rest
(Matthew 11:28-30)

You say: "I can't go on"
God says: My grace is sufficient
(II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalm 91:15)

You say: "I can't figure things out"
God says: I will direct your steps
(Proverbs 3:5-6)

You say: "I can't do it"
God says: You can do all things
(Philippians 4:13)

You say: "I'm not able"
God says: I am able
(II Corinthians 9: 8)

Why Don't We Pray

The highest privilege ever afforded to man is the power of prayer.
...then why don't we pray?

The right to talk to the highest potentate in the entire universe...
...then why don't we pray?

The most powerful force accessible to man is the potential of prayer...
...then why don't we pray?

The greatest longing in the heart of God is to talk to His children...
...then why don't we pray?

Nothing is impossible to those who pray...
...then why don't we pray?

No man ever fainted or faltered who gave himself to prayer...
...then why don't we pray?

Every sin is forgiven, every stain is washed clean, all guilt diminished to
The man who prays...
...then why don't we pray?

Hell moves farther away, Satan flees from the man who prays...
...then why don't we pray?

Anointing will come, mountains will be moved, valleys made smooth, rivers made crossable, the inaccessible made accessible, the impossible made possible,
dreams come through to the man who prays...
...then why don't we pray?

God said that men ought always to pray...
...then why don't we pray?

Paul encouraged prayer without ceasing...
...then why don't we pray?

The riches of heaven are open to those who pray in His name...
...then why don't we pray?

Everyone can pray, the young, the old, the rich, the poor, the strong, the weak, the child, the aged, the sinner, the prisoner, in any nation, in any language, all can pray...
...then why don't we pray?

PRAISING GOD IN ALL THINGS

In all things give thanks unto God
for He alone is worthy of all praise,
We have been given abundant blessings,
He will be with us though all of our days.

Our God is mighty in power
There is none other like He,
He who created the world and all within,
Has redeemed our souls and set us free.

When the sun rises in the morning
and we behold the beauty of a brand new day,
Let us take time to praise the Lord,
as we humbly seek His face and pray.

Blessings In Christ,

You're The One

Just one more night
to have you in my arms,
to hear you say you love me,
to shelter me from harm.

Just one more dream
before the break of dawn,
to echo the magic moments
when you were never gone.

Just one more kiss
with fingers interlaced,
to breath you in completely,
to memorize your taste.

Just one more dance
before the music dies,
to allow my heart's surrender
to passion's sad demise.

Just one more chance
before this poem is done,
to tell you that I love you,
you'll always be...
the one.
